It is impossible to enumerate the blessings I have received through the healing power of Christian Science over the past sixty-five years.

When I was a child, I fell, injuring one of my knees. It became infected, and the verdict of our family doctor was that surgery was necessary. At that time my mother had become acquainted with a Christian Scientist. The doctor drove to the hospital to make arrangements, but Mother and the friend who was a Scientist asked me if I would allow a Christian Science practitioner to pray for me. With childlike faith I asked why we couldn't pray right there at home. The sacred role of a Christian Science practitioner was explained to me, and I consented. Treatment began immediately.

By the time the doctor returned to take me to the hospital, a swelling had formed on my knee, and he exclaimed, "Oh! This is a miracle." The swelling opened and drained without medical care. The power of prayer through Christian Science had healed me.
