"To those leaning on the sustaining infinite, to-day is big with blessings." This opening statement from the Preface of Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy is the reason for the hope that is in me. I've been a student of Christian Science for what may be considered a long period of years, and I have had full evidence of God's presence and power in my life.
A recent experience served to show me the need for constant alertness. Several months ago my mouth became painful. A dentist said it was badly infected. The condition became worse. The dentist said that if it didn't get better, he would give me medical treatment. I said, "I can't accept that because it's not in keeping with my religion." He knew I was a Christian Scientist, and I explained that I was going to heal myself through prayer. He was very kind, and I thanked him for his understanding.
