Don't just expect it
Accept your Healing
"Accept your healing." That's what she said. And then added, "Don't just expect it. Accept it." She should know. She was an experienced Christian Science practitioner.
To accept something is to receive it willingly, give our consent to it, not fight or argue against it. You would assume, wouldn't you, most people would willingly accept healing? But stop and think about it for a minute. Do they? Do you? Do I?
I can remember times when I argued against healing—that is, until I realized what I was doing. For instance, one time I was ill and lying on my bed, faithfully going over statements of spiritual truth. But that's all I was doing—going over them. I wasn't trying to understand them. I was simply mouthing words.
