I am more grateful than words can express to the author of Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, Mary Baker Eddy, for sharing with all mankind the truth of Christian Science.

It was through many devoted Sunday School teachers that I gained an understanding of Christian Science and its healing power. I recently reached the age of twenty, and as a former Sunday School pupil, I wish to extend appreciation and gratitude to all the dedicated men and women throughout the world who give of themselves and their deep love for Christian Science by teaching a Sunday School class. I am daily reaping the benefits of my Sunday School experience—and expect to do so continually.

Mrs. Eddy opens the first chapter in Science and Health by saying (p. 1), "The prayer that reforms the sinner and heals the sick is an absolute faith that all things are possible to God,—a spiritual understanding of Him, an unselfed love." I have had many proofs of the healing effectiveness of prayer as taught in Christian Science.
