Opportunities to Be Active and Useful
Right at this moment each of us has vast opportunities to be active and useful. Genuine vitality, freshness, and joy can be part of our present experience because they are part of God's nature. He has created a universe to express this nature, and man is an inseparable part of that universe.
Unknown to God are dullness and uselessness. How can Life, God, be anything but active, vital, and productive? Mrs. Eddy includes "omni-action" as one of the divine attributes. Defining "good" in Science and Health, she writes, "God; Spirit; omnipotence; omniscience; omnipresence; omni-action." Science and Health, p. 587;
God is divine Life, Truth, and Love; He has made everything lively, actual, and good. So when we are seeing inertia, inactivity, and lack of inspiration in our own or others' lives, we are not being alert to God as omniaction. And if we see wrong activity taking place, we can awake to the fact that God, divine Principle, is the only power and controls all.
