I was healed through reading Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy.

For six years I was afflicted with a nervous disease, which was medically diagnosed incurable. Before my healing I was able to do my work only at a certain place, under very restricted conditions, and at a certain speed. Did life still have a meaning for me?

One day I read an account of a woman who, after a heavy fall on the ice, rose from her bed upon reading a healing by Christ Jesus from the Bible (see Matt. 9). She was healed in spite of possible serious internal injuries. This woman was Mary Baker Eddy. I longed for the inspiration and understanding to be healed myself.
