Every Year Lovelier
"You're amazing! In all the twenty-five years I've known you, you've not changed at all!" said one woman to another. "What?" came the response in mock astonishment. "Do you mean to say I haven't become more beautiful in all that time?"
She might have said, "Do you mean I haven't become wiser— livelier—happier—more useful—a lovelier person and friend?" According to the divine law of spiritual development we can expect to know ourselves and others as continually becoming better and stronger in all these ways and many more.
Man in his true being is the perfect image of God, reflecting His nature in all its spiritual grandeur and glory. Each individual reflects the forever developing qualities of divine Truth, eternal Life and Love, infinite Spirit, Soul, Mind, and Principle. His being is not static but expansive, as Christian Science explains. Mrs. Eddy writes in Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, "God expresses in man the infinite idea forever developing itself, broadening and rising higher and higher from a boundless basis." Science and Health, p. 258;
