Regeneration and healing! These are the fruits of Christian Science. Mary Baker Eddy says (Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, p.481): "Man is tributary to God, Spirit, and to nothing else. God's being is infinity, freedom, harmony, and boundless bliss. 'Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.'"

Because of the efficacy of Christian Science, I no longer suffer from such problems as digestive difficulties due to a duodenal ulcer. This condition was healed in Science. Earlier I had had three years of mental derangement and diseased physical conditions that specialists claimed would result in my death. I believed in God, but He seemed to me be very far away. However, a relative who is a student of Christian Science prayed for me.

Then, following my daughter's footsteps, I went to a Wednesday evening testimony meeting in a branch Church of Christ, Scientist, where I listened to the readings from the Bible and Science and Health, and heard testimonies of healing by members of the congregation. I left there a changed man, deeply moved. At the next meeting I met a Christian Science practitioner. I mentioned I had suffered for forty years from chronic sinusitis and never passed a day without discomfort. The practitioner said, "You are perfect, because you are the child of God." He agreed to treat me through prayer and said that I would not need to take medicine.
