When we are obedient to the Commandments, we know that God protects us wherever we are.
One day at school, a group of boys said that they were going to beat up my younger brother and me the next day. That night my brother and I studied the Ten Commandments. The first commandment is (Ex. 20:3): "Thou shalt have no other gods before me." I prayed the Lord's Prayer as we are taught in the Christian Science Sunday School. One part of Christ Jesus' prayer, with its spiritual interpretation, says (Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, p. 16):
