In giving the following testimony I would like to emphasize there have been conspicuous landmarks in my experience that have enabled me to recognize the omnipresence and supremacy of God, who is divine Life, Truth, and Love.

In seeking the understanding of true being, it is helpful to realize the truth of Mrs. Eddy's statement (Science and Health, p. 393), "Be firm in your understanding that the divine Mind governs, and that in Science man reflects God's government."

Some time ago I was invited to visit one of my sons. I was already dressed, and there was still half an hour before I had to go to the train. Just then a Christian Scientist, who takes his religion very seriously, visited me in order to bring me some Christian Science literature. This visit came at an inconvenient time, and I had to tell him I had very little time. Then I fetched my purse from a room, that is, I was intending to fetch it, but on the way I became ill. I had no time to defend myself with even prayerful acknowledgment of God's presence. I did not seem to have any strength or feeling. When I wanted to call out, I found I could no longer speak. In my helplessness I was still able to make myself noticed, however. The visitor came in. I could not move either my lips or my tongue, but he realized what had happened. He said to me, "Let's sit down," and he led me to a place to sit. To be sure, I saw he was leading and supporting me, but I couldn't feel it.
