I have had many different kinds of healing through Christian Science. When I was in the fourth grade, I couldn't do arithmetic. So I remembered what I had been learning in Christian Science Sunday School. I knew that God was my intelligence and I was God's perfect child. I worked it out. I remembered what the first commandment says (Ex. 20:3): "Thou shalt have no other gods before me." I saw I was giving something power that wasn't there if I thought I couldn't do arithmetic.

Then I went to bed that night feeling much better because I knew my true identity. And I wasn't afraid of arithmetic anymore. From then on I got excellent grades in math. I had conquered my fear.

Another healing I had was of my ankle. One day I was playing ball with my next-door neighbor. I ran to get the ball and twisted my ankle. I went in the house and told my mom. She told me to remember what I had been learning in Sunday School. I did, and I knew nothing was wrong and the reason why. I knew each one is God's perfect child. It's like when you look in the mirror, you see a true reflection of yourself, so we are the true spiritual image of God. I knew I wouldn't let error control me. I could know the truth of this. Then when I went to dinner that night, I ran downstairs as if nothing had ever happened.
