You Don't Need Aladdin's Lamp!
Recalling the story of Aladdin and his wonderful lamp, we may sometimes wish that this story were true and that an all-powerful force was available to lift us out of poverty, concern, sickness, worry, or distress. Be assured there is such a power readily available to us and far superior to any mythical genie, because this ever-present power is real, operative, practical, right where we are. It is the power of divine Mind, God, always enforcing good in support of man, God's divine idea.
This divine power is instantly available to right every wrong, heal every sickness, supply every need. What is more, it is vastly superior to any human law, mode of medicine, or material means of supply.
A knowledge of the superiority of divine Mind over any other supposed intelligence or power is essential to spiritual growth, whereby an understanding of man's status as God's child, or divine idea, is attained. In reality God has all power, and there is no other power either inferior or superior to His. It is important that human thought be convinced there is no material or supernatural force that can aid mankind to overcome the errors crowding into it for acceptance and development. Divine Mind has ascendancy over every supposed material situation. Realization of this fact opens the way for our progress Spiritward—toward a greater understanding of man's relationship to God, divine Mind, upon whom we can rely in whatever material circumstance we seem to be involved.
