FINDING ME
Speaking of his spiritual identity
in the radiancy of Christ,
Jesus confidently declared,
"Before Abraham was, I am."
I like that, Father;
it gives me identity in a topsy-turvy place
where
there's not much rhyme or wherefore.
I know I'm not a seven-digit number
or
just another anonymity in a faceless sea of billions.
I'm given my own individual coloring.
I like that, Father,
because that's a promise with a rainbow curled around it.
I'm not locked into a dead end;
rather,
I'm discovering my own uniquely special fit—
absolutely no limitations attached!
I like that, Father, because I have a forever-occupying purpose;
it gives me courage to go beyond boundaries,
to nurture a new direction
and
to pioneer exciting new spheres of consciousness.
It's timely, and so basically solid
I am confident to plant and build.
I really like that, Father!
