When I Was Healed

(For young children)

I like what Mrs. Eddy says in Science and Health, "Resist evil—error of every sort—and it will flee from you." Science and Health, p. 406.

I went into the kitchen to find Mummy very busy, so I asked her if I could chop some rhubarb to cook. She said yes, so I did. She went out of the kitchen, so I was alone. Just as she came in again I cut my finger on the sharp knife. I told myself I couldn't be hurt when I was doing something good. Then I went up to my room and read some leaflets that I had picked up off the table in church. One of the articles reminded me of what I had learned in Sunday School about resisting evil. So that is what I did. And then I went down to lunch and didn't feel any pain from then on.
