Our conversation is in heaven (Phil. 3:20)
The Greek word translated "conversation" (here "conversation" shows an early meaning, "the action of living in a certain place") is rendered "commonwealth" in the Revised Standard Version. Ernest F. Scott proposes "Our country is in heaven" as perhaps the best translation but observes that this word "was sometimes used in the abstract to denote a way of living...associated with a given city.... 'Our citizenship,' the pattern of life we must follow as Christians, 'is in heaven.' "
Job continued his parable (Job 29:1)
