I am writing this testimony with the hope that it will help someone else and show that young people can have good healings that they themselves have worked out.

I had a growth on my head, so that I had to keep my hair a certain length and style to hide it. When I was in the fifth and sixth grades I worked with different Christian Science practitioners on the problem, but with no apparent results. Since the seventh grade I have had the opportunity to attend a school for Christian Scientists. This helped me to start clearing my thought. I wasn't so self-conscious about the growth, because most of the kids didn't make a point to look at it.

Anyway, I went along till the summer of 1974 when my younger brother and sister were at camp and it was quiet at home. I decided then it was a good time to get myself organized and in good shape. I started working with a Christian Science practitioner regularly, and he helped guide me in the right direction. He gave me a lot of ideas to work with, statements from the Bible and from Mrs. Eddy's writings. I especially loved working with the two poems Mrs. Eddy gave to the little and big children. These are on page 69 of Poems:
