In 1953, I was quickly healed of an illness
In 1953, I was quickly healed of an illness. I had a heart attack while on duty, and in accordance with legal regulations had to see a doctor with regard to work disability. The doctor's diagnosis was angina pectoris. However, in Christian Science, teachings I had followed for about seven years at that time, I had learned to put my trust in God, divine Mind, alone. I felt that as His image and likeness I could express only the qualities that were peculiar to Him. Humbly I at once went to see a Christian Science practitioner, that he might correctly guide my thinking to God.
The practitioner, radiating God's love, asked me gently, "Have you declared your faith in God, have you made Him your clear choice?"
I felt my thoughts one with God, the Father, and could answer him joyfully and positively, "Yes, I have made God my final choice and will not give Him up."
