Approach Each Day with Confidence
We can approach each day from a position of strength—not mere personal, human strength but spiritual strength and confidence based on the understanding that God, good, is supreme.
One cannot be convinced of God's allness and at the same time assume a defensive posture by venturing forth with fear and trepidation. There is a saying in sports that "the best defense is a good offense." We can eagerly anticipate and confidently approach each day's challenges as we curtail our preoccupation with the uncertainties of the material world and embrace the truth of being, which is entirely spiritual.
Christian Science explains that God, good, is All-in-all, the only creator, and that there is no power or existence apart from Him. Man is God's perfect likeness, His untarnished reflection and unfettered representative, whose purpose is to express the Christ, perfect manhood. We evidence perfect manhood in compassion, honesty, unselfishness, patience, diligence, joy, and intelligence.
