Don't Be Too Hard on Yourself

If you've left God out of your life, for the most part, do you feel it's too late to reach out wholeheartedly for Him now? You don't need to feel that way. Instead, you can start reaching! He isn't far away. With Him it is never too late. Why? Because He has never been out of your life, nor, in truth, have you ever been anywhere but in the Life that is God. He is your eternal Father-Mother God.

No matter what one has done—be he, seemingly, the sorriest sinner beyond all human hope—he is still in Christ, Truth. He is still, in his true being, a child of God. When you glimpse this truth even a little, you see there's always a way out. No one is beyond redemption. No one is beyond the Father's forgiveness. One has only to ask in a humble spirit in order to receive an assurance in his heart of the good God knows of him already.

Remember the repentant woman who came to Jesus in the house of Simon the Pharisee. With her tears she washed the Master's feet; with her hair she dried them. Cleansing herself with the purity of the Christ in her gratitude for Jesus and the truth he taught, she elicited from him the assurance, "Thy sins are forgiven." Prior to making this statement he had explained to Simon, "Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much." See Luke 7:37–50;
