"Be not afraid"!

Have you ever been in a situation where you were afraid, where you were faced with physical disability, fear, indecision, lack? In such a moment have you found how quickly one kind word, look, or touch—or even the mere presence of a friend—has changed your dark outlook on life into a happier one?

Divine Love heals. There is nothing to withstand its influence, its warmth, its power. There is no obstacle to Love. Today's world needs the understanding of Love expressed in the compassionate, helping message Christ Jesus gave his disciples: "Be not afraid."^{Matt. 14:27;} It is Love, God, the divine presence, that destroys all fear—the basis of many physical and mental disabilities.

Mrs. Eddy writes, "If the Scientist reaches his patient through divine Love, the healing work will be accomplished at one visit, and the disease will vanish into its native nothingness like dew before the morning sunshine."^{Science and Health, p. 365;} To heal through divine Love our own consciousness has to be completely pervaded by love, has to overflow with it. Filled with the sense of the ever-presence and ever-availability of our Father-Mother God, we become aware of the immense goodness and tender care Love has for each of its ideas. Naturally we want to express and share this light and warmth.
