HEALED: HALF OR WHOLLY?

I dreamt that I suffered,
prayed to recover
then woke reluctant
to leave the dream
with the prayer unanswered—

but maybe it was!—

for a prayer that merely
tinkers with dreams
can never compare
with one that wakes
to reality.
