Becky's Bread
Becky had always loved school and would dash out of the house mornings so she could have time to play with her friends before school. But for the past few weeks she had been leaving later and later, and recently she would arrive at school after the bell rang.
One night after Becky was in bed and she and Mother had said the Lord's Prayer, Becky started to cry. She hadn't told her mother what the problem was. She felt she was old enough to work it out for herself through prayer, using the truths she had been taught in the Christian Science Sunday School. She had tried, but things hadn't changed.
"Why aren't my prayers answered?" she sobbed.
