I am most grateful for Christian Science and many blessings received, especially for a recent proof that Christian Science heals.

While I was ascending a flight of steps, my foot slipped, and I landed heavily on my arm on the concrete. The pain was severe, and it was some minutes before I could get up onto my feet. But I did immediately declare aloud that as a child of God I could not be hurt, since God knows nothing of accidents. Then I prayerfully repeated to myself over and over "the scientific statement of being" given by Mrs. Eddy on page 468 of the textbook, Science and Health. I was then able to go inside. A friend called a Christian Science practitioner who gave me treatment.

At first the thought came to me that perhaps I should go to a surgeon and have the bone set, but the practitioner's firm faith in God encouraged me to rely entirely on God for my healing. One night shortly thereafter, when I seemed to be most uncomfortable, suddenly there was a movement in my arm, and I felt a bone snap into place. I knew then the healing had come. I continued to study the chapter on Prayer in the textbook, after which there was a period of calm, and I was able to sleep a few hours.
