Attaining Diviner Conceptions

What are diviner conceptions? They are clearer views of the infinite Principle of all being, and of the real creation, which originates and remains in Principle. To attain diviner conceptions is to shed mortal beliefs and the troubles that accompany them. It is to drop off the tendency to look at existence through the limited aperture of personal sense and to adopt instead the entirely unlimited outlook of spiritual sense.

Mrs. Eddy not only had full confidence that this could be done, but that it would be. "The conceptions of mortal, erring thought," she asserts, "must give way to the ideal of all that is perfect and eternal. Through many generations human beliefs will be attaining diviner conceptions, and the immortal and perfect model of God's creation will finally be seen as the only true conception of being." Science and Health, p. 260;

No matter what seems to be going on—whether our individual road is potholed with personal or business troubles, or whether collective problems seem urgent and unresolvable—we will be encouraged by recognizing that diviner views of being are possible and, indeed, inevitable and practical. They will ultimately emerge in the experience of each of us because the truth is that there is but one Mind, one consciousness, and its thoughts are always entirely divine and utterly perfect. This Mind, Christian Science practice confirms, is the only Mind of man and the only power or presence anywhere at any time.
