I knew of Christian Science for several years, but I had not applied its rules and teachings, for I was convinced that I could never rely solely on God for my healings. But there arrived a time in my life when all the material aid I had been relying on for the solution of my problems of health crumbled away, and I found myself facing the future with the discouraging prospect that my body, saturated with medication since my childhood, was rejecting it, producing in me various types of allergies. An infection appeared, manifesting itself in boils with abscesses.

A friend who was a Christian Scientist suggested that I attend a church service and talk about this situation with a Christian Science practitioner. The practitioner spoke of my relationship to God. I gained the assurance that at that very moment I was free. I had proof of these words in Luke (18:27): "The things which are impossible with men are possible with God," for my body responded to the audible treatment, and I was well.

Right after this, to me, marvelous proof of God's care, my life turned completely toward Christian Science, truly a Science of healing. My gratitude to God for this healing, which obliged me to take refuge in His arms, is immense. Our home is now under His care. My husband and my two small children have also received beautiful healings. Situations of discord, inharmony, and lack have been solved through prayer and an understanding faith in the protection of our Father-Mother God.
