Did Mrs. Eddy Write It?

Mrs. Eddy spoke out strongly against deceptive reading matter on Christian Science, particularly manuscripts falsely attributed to her. She worked hard to make her published writings of maximum benefit and endeavored to protect their purity through the Manual of The Mother Church.

Letters and articles in typed or handwritten form See The First Church of Christ, Scientist, and Miscellany 175:27-30; and sayings and anecdotes passed along by word of mouth hardly ever prove to be authentic. It means little that they are said to be by Mrs. Eddy. Some of the written materials go back to her day, even to disloyal students. Titles of articles that falsely parade as our Leader's include: "A Treatment for Every Day," "God's Spiritual Household," "My Income," "Place," "Electricity," and "Money Thought." The facts about these and other pieces can be learned by writing to Archivist's Office, Christian Science Center, Boston;
