"Godlike qualities are always in demand"

"Godlike qualities are always in demand." About three years ago this statement was voiced to me by a friend attending the same university at a time when our outlook for employment after graduation seemed quite bleak.

As a senior in the field of education I well realized that teaching jobs seemed to be at a premium. However, despite reports from the media and dire predictions from fellow students and faculty members, I endeavored to know the truth about my rightful place in God's universe.

I reasoned that in my true being as God's idea I was really His representative, reflecting only good—unlimited good. The spiritual qualities that are man's true nature I knew to be in high demand. There could never be too much good or an overabundance of this goodness in the job market, or in the world. As my friend had helped me realize by her statement, the Godlike qualities I was expressing were never for a moment unwanted or not needed and, indeed, were in demand.
