SPIRITUALIZING THOUGHT
by understanding the continuity of Principle
Understanding the continuous control of Principle, divine Love, spiritualizes human thought. And it enables one to comprehend— with practical effects in his experience—the inseparability of God, Spirit, and His expression, the flawless, spiritual man, made in His likeness.
To understand Principle, one needs to love Principle. To love God as Principle might appear to be the worship of a remote, uninspiring abstraction. But certainly one is able to love God as Love. And Love is Principle, for Principle is only another name for God, indicating His infinite, unchangingly just and harmonious being.
Mrs. Eddy writes: "When the term divine Principle is used to signify Deity it may seem distant or cold, until better apprehended. This Principle is Mind, substance, Life, Truth, Love. When understood, Principle is found to be the only term that fully conveys the ideas of God,—one Mind, a perfect man, and divine Science." No and Yes, p. 20;
