Last year I was involved in an accident

Last year I was involved in an accident. I prefer to think of it as a proof of God's protection and love.

I was crossing the street and was struck by a car. When I began to regain consciousness, I found myself saying over and over again, "I am not hurt, I am all right!" When I finally realized I was hearing my own voice, I became quiet and mentally turned to God, knowing that He was right there with me. Truly, He had never seemed so close before. I felt no panic, and was completely at peace.

I was told it was mandatory that I be taken to the hospital for X rays, so I was placed in an ambulance. When I was carried into the emergency room, the doctor immediately asked when I had last had a tetanus shot. He seemed shocked when I told him I had never had one. He said, "We'll take care of that the very first thing," but I declined. He asked if I happened to be a Christian Scientist. I answered affirmatively, and he said, "We will respect your beliefs. No tetanus shot." He asked if they could check my blood pressure and pulse, and, of course, I agreed. They were both normal. When he studied the X rays, he said, "You were right! You have no broken bones." So I was discharged and was back home inside of an hour.
