One afternoon when I was doing a grammar exercise, I felt...

One afternoon when I was doing a grammar exercise, I felt very tired. My head hurt, and I didn't understand what we were supposed to do. So I immediately thought how God was with me— how He was everywhere and I was His likeness and therefore couldn't be sick. After I felt God's presence with me, I was able to finish the exercise. But when I got home, my head still hurt, and I was very hot.

I asked Mom to pray with me, and give me a children's article to read in The Herald of Christian Science. Mom gave me the December, 1972, Herald, and I read an article about holding on to Godlike thoughts. Then I asked Mom to read it to me so we could talk about it. I told her that while trying to do my grammar exercise in the afternoon I had had an angel thought that helped me, so that I was able to finish the exercise. About an hour later I no longer had a headache and I wasn't hot anymore. I ate supper at the table with my parents and my brother. We were all very happy and grateful because I was completely well. I am eight years old.
