Man Is Ageless Too
The freer step, the fuller breath,
The wide horizon's grander view;
The sense of Life that knows no death,—
The Life that maketh all things new. Christian Science Hymnal, No. 218;
Christian Science refutes the fears and effects of the aging process. It declares that the one God is ageless and that the man He creates, His perfect likeness, is ageless too. Man spiritually reflects God, who is Life itself. Man must be immortal if God created him in His image and likeness, as is stated in the first chapter of Genesis in the Bible. Those who study this Science don't pray to stay young; neither do they ignore the aging process. They do pray that they may express God, Life, more fully, and that they may recognize man's immortal status as the child of God and begin to demonstrate it.
