"He won't even listen"

The principal looks at the boy across the desk, at the unresponsive young face. He says, "You know, I'll have to suspend you—again." He feels a heavy sense of frustration and defeat. This is no solution.

The father says, "I don't know what I can do. I've done everything I know. He doesn't appreciate anything that's done for him. When I was his age ..."

"What am I doing wrong?" the mother cries. "I try to talk to him. He won't even listen."
