TIMELESS GROWING
It wasn't time that let us
leave behind the little deaths
that haunted
and then were gone
or carried on in other forms
and taunted
till their tauntings held no meaning.
No,
Not time.
We grew.
And growth it was
that brought us to
our present state of grace
and taught us not to wait
for time and space
with empty promises
of healing.
Wonderful growing up to see
what now we are,
ever were,
and evermore shall be.
