Our Spiritual History
Why did I do it? Why did it happen?
Do such cries of anguish express the fear that our being is flawed, life's record soiled? If so, we need to know that our real history is spiritual and blameless. And we can prove it. In fact, we must prove it, and our proving it begins when we face up to questions similar to the ones above and seek a way to heal our anguish, not just to soothe it.
The spiritual growth we experience with each healing in Christian Science is our real history. Each step forward out of the false belief of life in matter and toward spiritual understanding destroys part of the personal history that was grief, illness, regret. We begin to understand and accept the fact that our true being is free, innocent, joyous.
