Dominion over Fear
Fear is no new challenge to mankind. From Genesis to Revelation the Bible meets this challenge. The inspired demand to "fear not" has come to, or through, such notable individuals as Abraham, Moses, Joshua, Elijah, as well as Christ Jesus. It is assuring to know we don't have to fear. Isaiah tells us why in these words: "Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I am with thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness." Isa. 41:10;
To understand God as ever-present, omnipotent good, governing His creation harmoniously, quashes the suggestions of fear. All there is to fear is the suggestion of doubt or discord that would limit our accomplishments. There is never a reality opposing us. Fear has no power because omnipotent Love is the only reality. We live in Love, God, not in fear. A hymn says,
