The wonderful healings we come to know of through testimonies in The Herald of Christian Science and other Christian Science literature or hear at Wednesday evening testimony meetings in the branch churches bear witness that the healing power of the Christ, Truth, is ever present. We only have to be obedient to the law of God, as Christian Science requires of us.

In 1967, I began to have symptoms of a disabling illness. At first I did not give it any attention because too many other things were keeping me occupied. But dressing and undressing became difficult, and I was afraid of going to bed as the pain then increased even more. I was barely able to comb my hair in the morning, and discovered disfiguring enlargement at the joints of my fingers. This finally jolted me and woke me up.

Mrs. Eddy says in the textbook, Science and Health (p. 418): "Include moral as well as physical belief in your efforts to destroy error. Cast out all manner of evil," and further in the same paragraph: "Speak the truth to every form of error. Tumors, ulcers, tubercles, inflammation, pain, deformed joints, are waking dream-shadows, dark images of mortal thought, which flee before the light of Truth."
