"Me" and "my" do not appear in the Greek text, which describes the testing times of newly-converted Christians during a brief period of Roman persecution under the emperor Domitian (81–96 A.D.). The New English Bible has, "You shared the sufferings of the prisoners, and you cheerfully accepted the seizure of your possessions."
