"This is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent" (John 17:3). In a moment of extreme pain these words came to me, and I cried them aloud without understanding their full import. I had been receiving help from a Christian Science practitioner for a nervous breakdown. After this I was healed within a very short time. Then it was that I began to learn more of God as "life eternal," to know Him as I never thought possible, and to receive the blessings that result from that knowing.

In a few years, after realizing that true companioning is with Truth and Love, I married a dedicated Christian Scientist. Together we embarked on an adventure of putting God first in our lives. A year later our understanding of what home really means from a spiritual standpoint was demonstrated when we found exactly what we needed in a small house, and were able to purchase it for the amount that we had in our savings.

One day a condition developed in the stomach, which was never diagnosed but incapacitated me so that I could not stand properly, and I was confined to the house. I was confident that I could be healed through Science treatment, and I was soon well.
