"The consummate naturalness of Truth"
There is nothing unnatural or supernatural about spiritual power. If this were not so, it would remain largely unknown and unavailable to mankind, or, at best, appear as the occasional and miraculous intervention of an inscrutable Deity in human affairs.
Indeed, every healing that has occurred through the application of Christian Science—and there have been thousands of them—is based on the fact that God, omnipotent Spirit, and His universe of perfect spiritual ideas is the only reality. According to this Science, Spirit is Truth—that which actually exists—and therefore must be natural and ever available to understand and utilize.
Mrs. Eddy writes: "The scientific manifestation of power is from the divine nature and is not supernatural, since Science is an explication of nature. The belief that the universe, including man, is governed in general by material laws, but that occasionally Spirit sets aside these laws,—this belief belittles omnipotent wisdom, and gives to matter the precedence over Spirit."
