To Give a Speech
So you have to give a speech at school—maybe your first one? And you are afraid?
It hardly comforts you if a friend says, "Everyone is afraid when he has to speak, so what's the big deal." Or if the teacher says, "You'll soon get over your fright once you get some experience." You want to do something about the situation now.
You can do something. You can learn what communication really is. In its deepest sense, communication is what goes on when God, the one divine Mind, imparts right ideas to His creation. And just as the earth does not originate its sunshine, so you, the image of Mind, do not originate ideas; but you do reflect them. Man is seen in Christian Science as the image and likeness of God. That means he reflects the authorship, the creativity, of God.
