A Right Result for Rosalie
Rrrr-i-n-g! Rosalie sat up and popped her hand over the alarm-clock button. She opened the bottom slat of her white shutters and peeked out. The sun was beginning to break through the gray sky. She stretched her arms, then threw the covers back and jumped out of bed.
Rosalie was excited. Her older sister, Karen, was driving her to school that day, and she liked going in the car pool with the big girls. It was a lot more fun than the school bus, and besides she got to school much earlier. She hurried with her morning duties and was all ready when Karen backed the car out of the garage.
They picked up Linda first. Karen honked the horn, and Rosalie watched as Linda came out to the car, her long legs taking great strides. Her arms were full of books, and she was munching on a big red apple.
