"The word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword" (Heb. 4:12). The truth of these words has been proved many times in my life since early childhood, when I was first introduced to Christian Science. Both quick and instantaneous physical healings have been prevalent in my experience since that time. I recall experiencing no so-called childhood diseases after coming into Christian Science.

The births of our two children were quick and, in one case, painless. Symptoms of a nervous breakdown were permanently healed in three days with treatment by a Christian Science practitioner. What appeared to be pneumonia was also healed in three days with a practitioner's prayerful treatment. Sinus trouble was healed within a week. There has never been a return of these ailments, which were healed more than twenty years ago.

In Psalms we read (11 :1): "Flee as a bird to your mountain." This verse indicates to me the need for a swift, unflatering approach to a goal. Mrs. Eddy tells us in Science and Health (p. 426): "The discoverer of Christian Science finds the path less difficult when she has the high goal always before her thoughts, than when she counts her footsteps in endeavoring to reach it." Adhering to these directives has proven to be invaluable to me in the quick solving of many problems.
