Accuracy in Word and Deed

My attention was once caught by a sign on a construction job that read, "Why is it we always have to do a job the second time to find out how we should have done it the first time?"

Accuracy in thought precedes accuracy in word and deed. How vital it is, then, to be aware of our thinking and how to improve it. In every activity this desirable quality of accuracy can be cultivated and employed, bringing with it a sense of poise and dominion. This is done through recognition of one's real selfhood as the spiritual expression of God, divine Mind. Christ Jesus said, "I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works." John 14:10; Moving and speaking as the Father directed him, the Master expressed accuracy and truth in remarkable and wonderful ways. Mrs. Eddy writes: "Omnipotent and infinite Mind made all and includes all. This Mind does not make mistakes and subsequently correct them." Science and Health, p. 206;

There is no element of error in God's universe, and man has never fallen from his original and eternal status as the complete and perfect expression of his creator. Therefore spiritual man, as God's expression of Himself, is not subject to mistakes. When we hold to these truths about ourselves, we express higher degrees of accuracy in our daily lives.
