Freedom from Wrong Impulse
Do you sometimes feel impelled to think or say or do things you know you shouldn't or wish you hadn't? And do you really believe this is your own thinking? Then wake up, because it isn't!
The Apostle Paul had plenty of the same experience. He wrote, "I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me." Rom. 7:21; But he also found the way out, and so can we. It was, "The law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death." 8:2;
A little girl I knew described wrong impulse very well. Her mother found it necessary to discipline her about every two weeks. After one of these sessions the mother held the child in her arms and asked, "Honey, why can't you be a good girl? We're both so happy when you are."
