A few years ago I was employed in a position where my weight and appearance were of utmost importance. One day I was called in by a supervisor, who informed me that I would have to lose weight or lose my job. He also wanted to place me under the supervision of a medical doctor, so that he could have a weekly report as to the progress I was making in losing weight, as the company wanted to see sufficient progress within two weeks.
Immediately I called a Christian Science practitioner and asked if I could see her. When I visited her, I told her what appeared to be the problem, how I enjoyed my work and did not want to be dismissed, and also that I did not like the idea of visiting a doctor weekly to see how the material body was progressing.
Her first words to me were from Psalms (33:9): "For he spake, and it was done; he commanded, and it stood fast." She pointed out that when God formed me as a spiritual idea, he formed me proportionately, perfectly, and this perfection could not be lost. In divine Mind there is neither weight to put on nor to take off.
