Have you ever diligently searched for an answer to a question or need, hunting everywhere, only to find that it was right at hand all the time? The only thing needed was that it be uncovered to your view.
The unfoldment, or gradual appearing, of such an answer denotes the uncovering of what is already present so that we can see it. It does not have to be created; it already exists, and all we need to do is be aware of it.
Several seemingly contradictory statements dealing with spiritual unfoldment, in the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, used to puzzle me. One says that "nothing is new to Spirit," Science and Health, p. 518; and another that "creation is ever appearing, and must ever continue to appear from the nature of its inexhaustible source." p. 507;
