Gratitude for blessings received induces me to give testimony to the healing power of Christian Science.

More than forty years ago I had to remain in bed because of grippe. When I was able to get up again, my right arm was so weak that I could not work with it. Medical treatment by means of electricity and massaging was of no help and did not restore the use of my arm.

When I told an acquaintance about this condition, she gave me copies of The Herald of Christian Science to read and an address at which I could order the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy, which I did immediately. I read the textbook day and night with the greatest interest, with the thought that if its contents could make me free, then I had found the religion that was taught and practiced by Christ Jesus. My reading was giving me a better concept of God and of man in His image and likeness than I had been given at home or in school. As I became absorbed in what I read, I no longer thought of the condition of paralysis and discovered one day that I was completely healed. Since then Christian Science has been my only physician.
