Heal Through Love!

Henry Drummond in his book The Greatest Thing in the World, tells of a visit of Edward Irving, the Scottish preacher, to a boy who was dying. All that he said was, "My boy, God loves you." Then he went away. The account continues: "And the boy started from his bed, and called out to the people in the house, 'God loves me! God loves me!' It changed that boy." The Greatest Thing in the World, Library of Classics Edition, pp. 42, 43;

The Bible challenges us to consider God's great love for all when it declares, "The Lord hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with loving-kindness have I drawn thee." Jer. 31:3; The infinite, omnipotent heavenly Father knows, loves, and cares for all His children.

Christian Science reveals that today we can heal with certainty. How? By learning to love and know God as the ever-present Father-Mother, who is divine Love itself. This Love is also Spirit and Mind. Then man, our own genuine spiritual identity, is, in reality, the creator's eternal likeness, the divine Mind's image or idea. He is forever safe, intact, and sound in God's boundless love and goodness. As the perfect child of the all-loving Maker, he is complete and spotless, and he knows it. In truth there is no opposite.
