It is with a heart full of gratitude to God for Christ Jesus and his follower, Mrs. Eddy, that I submit my long overdue testimony. Mrs. Eddy opens the Preface to the textbook, Science and Health, with these words: "To those leaning on the sustaining infinite, to-day is big with blessings." Christian Science has shown me how to lean on God, and as I have done so I have been blessed, and my family with me. God's goodness and omnipotence as expressed in the hymns in the Christian Science Hymnal have lifted the burden of fear on many occasions.

One day we woke to find our daughter covered with measles. During church that morning I glimpsed the child's true spiritual selfhood, in which there could be no material element. I was "walking on air" as I hurried home to her, and I found that the measles had vanished.

At that time my husband was driving forty miles before six a.m. to work daily. On a January morning I felt a strong intuition to do specific prayerful protective work for him and turned to the weekly Lesson-Sermon in the Christian Science Quarterly, which was on the subject "Life." I became convinced through the truths stated that nothing could separate my husband from Life, God, but the feeling that something unusual would occur persisted. When I asked him when he returned home, he said, "It's strange you should ask, for my car slid on a curve and was going to hit a telephone pole, when it spun around in a circle and dropped down into a deep ditch. I wasn't hurt, nor was the car damaged. Those who stopped could hardly believe it."
