Security Independent of Business Cycles

A housewife must pay a higher price this week for a gallon of milk. A family's rent is raised. A person with years of experience at his job is suddenly laid off because of budget cutbacks. Sometimes an individual's financial problem may seem to be caused by a general trend over which he has no control. But in actual fact, his circumstances are never beyond the control of his enlightened thought.

A person's experience is the outward expression of his thinking, and every human being, reflecting his God-given ability, can control his own thinking. In the exact proportion that he exercises this ability, he governs his experience.

Imparting ability to control one's thinking is a function of the Christ, the light of Truth in individual human consciousness. Through Christ one is enabled to pick out from the mass of mental impressions that come to him for acceptance only those that are spiritually motivated, wholesome and progressive, and to reject all other concepts. Exercising his Christly ability to control his thinking, no one can lose control over his affairs.
